Cream and Coffee
People have been pairing coffee and whisky since the 1940s when the original Irish coffee was first invented. An Irish chef named Joe Sheridan is credited with creating the first round of Irish coffees for a group of stranded travelers at the Foynes air base outside of Limerick, Ireland in 1942.
The original Irish coffee recipe calls for four basic ingredients: brown sugar, coffee, whisky, and heavy cream, but requires patience and technique in order to successfully float the lightly whipped cream down the back of a spoon to sit atop the spiked coffee.
Forty Creek Original Cream Liquor delivers the smooth flavour you expect from a quality Canadian whisky, with no whisk required. Crafted using fresh dairy cream and Forty Creek’s award-winning whisky, Original Cream Liquor makes this the best coffee cocktail this side of the Atlantic. For best results, pair with strong coffee. Freshly ground beans in a French press or pour-over coffee maker work well. Pair with decaf coffee for a lovely nightcap.
Forty Creek Cream & Coffee is the perfect après ski imbibement. It is also great for snowed-in Sunday mornings at home. Not to be foregone after the snow melts: you can also enjoy Original Cream Liquor with your favourite iced coffee or cold brew.
