coffee (brewed or cold brew)

2 oz

Forty Creek Cinnamon Bun Cream Liquor

1 cup

ice cubes

whipped cream

(optional)

Step by step

If using freshly brewed coffee, let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold. Cold brew can be used directly.
Add ice cubes to a rocks glass.
Add chilled coffee over the ice.
Slowly pour in Forty Creek Cinnamon Bun Cream.
Optional: Top with a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.

People have been pairing coffee and whisky since the 1940s when the original Irish coffee was first invented. An Irish chef named Joe Sheridan is credited with creating the first round of Irish coffees for a group of stranded travelers at the Foynes air base outside of Limerick, Ireland in 1942.
The original Irish coffee recipe calls for four basic ingredients: brown sugar, coffee, whisky, and heavy cream, but requires patience and technique in order to successfully float the lightly whipped cream down the back of a spoon to sit atop the spiked coffee.
